Welcome to ISBET 2009
Dear colleagues and friends,
On behalf of the Japanese Society for Brain Electromagnetic Topography, it is our great pleasure and honor to invite you to participate in the 18th Meeting of the International Society for Brain Electromagnetic Topography (ISBET) that will be held at Kyoto International Community House, Kyoto, from September 29th to October 2nd, 2009.
Due to the increasing importance of multimodal approaches to the study of the human brain, we plan to invite speakers conducted with various imaging techniques such as fMRI and NIRS, in addition to EEG and MEG. Similarly, contributed papers, in basic and clinical neurosciences, describing findings obtained with the above mentioned techniques and with a multimodal approach are welcome.
It will also be a pleasure to welcome you all to Kyoto. Kyoto has functioned as the crossroads of Japanese history and was the capital of Japan for over 1000 years. Even today, Kyoto is the cultural center of Japan, and continues to be loved by Japanese and people of the world alike. Countless religious Shinto rituals and festivals have captured the imagination of people the world over.
We hope the meeting will offer an opportunity for all participants to discuss their common interests on the brain electromagnetic topography. In addition, we hope you enjoy the inexhaustible charm of Kyoto - its rich natural beauty, culinary culture and arts.
We look forward to welcoming you to Kyoto in 2009.
