Important Information for Oral Presentations
Dear ISBET 2009 speakers,
It is our great pleasure to welcome you as a session speaker to ISBET 2009 in Kyoto. In order to ensure a smooth course during “your” session, we kindly ask you to consider the following instructions:
Invited speakers of didactic lectures will be allocated to a total of 25 minutes with 20 minutes for the presentation and 5 minutes for questions. Speakers with contributed talks will have a total of 12 minutes with 9 minutes for the presentation and 3 minutes for questions. Please adhere to these time allocations.
Session chairs have been instructed to rigorously enforce the schedule, i.e., to strictly obey the length of a presentation. We kindly ask you for your understanding and for your cooperation in keeping the schedule. Be at the event Hall of your session 15 minutes before session start, so that you can meet your session chairs and the other speakers in advance.
A LCD projector will be available in event Hall and will be connected to a computer and support a resolution up to 1024 × 728. Your presentation should be brought on USB key for uploading prior to your presentation. Authors who bring their presentations on their own laptop computer are expected to have it powered on and ready to connect to the LCD projector. Only standard PC-style VGA connections to the LCD projector will be supplied. Macintosh users must make sure that “mirroring” is activated. It is the responsibility of the presenting author to load the presentation onto the computer supplied and to ensure the presentation operates properly.
In order to avoid any problems with your presentation please make sure that it fulfills the necessary requirements for the following software:
MS Office Version 2007 Standard (Word, Excel, PowerPoint),
Windows Media Player 11,
Adobe Reader 9
